Hello MEMS Champions out there!!

I have an academic project where I have designed a MEMS micro robot using a scratch drive actuator
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fO3M8rMvGSI

. I was wondering if anybody out there had an idea of what the potential applications of such a device could be?

Also, I plan to redisign it with  a 'gripper' at the front. Does anyone know of a material that can be used for the gripper that will undergo photo actuation or radiation actuation?

Thanks a tonne!!
